I. Making the Wii Homebrew Ready.
The most effecient method to make your Wii Homebrew ready and give it easy access to manage Custom Channels (WADs) is to install the Homebrew Channel.

Methods to Install Homebrew Channel:
A. Homebrew Channel Install Disc (Modchip and 3.2 Firmware or lower)
B. Install via Twilight Princess Hack

A. Homebrew Channel Install Disc

What you Need:
Wii with Modchip and 3.2 Firmware or lower
Blank DVD-Rs

1. Go here (http://hbc.hackmii.com/download/) and download the Homebrew Channel ISO.
2. Burn the dvd image using your favorite burning program, put it in your Wii and run it like a normal game. It will install itself.

B. Install via Twilight Princess Hack

What you Need:
Official Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess Wii Game
Twilight Hack (DOWNLOAD) (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Twilight_Hack)
Homebrew Channel Install Package (DOWNLOAD) (http://hbc.hackmii.com/download/)
SD Card

1. Backup your existing Twilight Princess gamesave to your PC, delete the save from your Wii, then format your SD card.
2. Go here (http://hbc.hackmii.com/download/) and download the Homebrew Channel ELF package and the Twilight Hack.
3. Copy the Twilight Hack and the contents of the Homebrew Channel package to the root of the SD card. NOTE: The boot.elf file from the Homebrew Channel package MUST be in the root directory of the memory stick.
4. Create a folder named "apps" in root of the SD card.
5. Navigate on your Wii to the gamesave menu, insert the SD card, then copy the Twilight Hack gamesave to the Wii internal memory.
6. Return to the main menu and insert your Twilight Princess disc.
7. Boot the game then load the first gamesave.
8. After it loads you will see a man, you can either run away from him, or approach and talk to him. Either method will start the hack.
9. After the hack activates you will eventually get some warning messages, just keep hitting Accept and it will eventually install the channel.
10. After the Wii reboots the Homebrew Channel will show up!

II. Installing WAD Files (Channels).

What you Need:
Homebrew Channel installed on your Wii.
WAD Manager (DOWNLOAD) (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/WAD_Manager)
SD Card

1. Copy the WAD Manager folder into the apps folder on your SD Card.
2. Create a folder called "WAD" in the root of the SD card.
3. Copy the WAD files you want to install into the WAD direcotry on the SD card.
4. Insert the SD card into the Wii and start the Homebrew Channel.
5. Select WAD Manager and then hit Load. It will then bring up a list of the WADs on the SD card.
6. Browse the list and hit + to install the WADs you want, and - to uninstall. (NOTE: YOU MUST KEEP A COPY OF THE WAD IF YOU INTEND TO UNINSTALL THE CHANNEL AT A LATER TIME.)
7. Hit HOME to exit.

III. Editing Homebrew WAD Icons/Banners. (COMING SOON)

IV. Virtual Console ROM Injection.

What you Need:
Auto Injectuwad Injector v3 (http://forums.maxconsole.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=22675&d=1224966156) by NightStalKeR and creffca
Virtual Console Game in WAD Format
ROM of Game to Inject
common-key.bin (NOT PROVIDED! COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL!)

NOTE: The Virtual Console WAD must be of the console of the ROM you want to inject.
NOTE: The ROM of the Virtual Console Game must be larger than the ROM you want to inject!.
I will do the tutorial as NES for the example, but it is the same for all systems.
I will refer to the Virtual Console WAD as "NESGAME.wad" and the Rom file as "NESGAME.nes"!

1. Save Virtual Console Game THAT YOU PURCHASED from your Wii and covert to WAD (No Tutorial Available.)
2. Dump ROM from the original media. (No Tutorial Available. Additional hardware required.)
3. Put "NESGAME.wad" and "NESGAME.nes" in the Auto Injectuwad Injector v3 directory.
4. Run the program and under "Console Mode" select NES.
5. Under "Pick Rom" select NESGAME.nes
6. Under "Pick Wad" select NESGAME.wad
7. Put "Game Title" under "Custom Injected Channel Title"
8. Hit start, once the command prompt window disappears your WAD is finished.

NOTE: THE OUTPUT WAD WILL HAVE THE ICON, BANNER, AND TITLE OF THE GAME THAT WAS IN THE ORIGINAL WAD! YOU WILL HAVE TO EDIT THOSE MANUALLY!

V. Virtual Console Icon/Banner/Title Editing.

Nice guide, how come there's no mention of the Wad Installer and Uninstaller channels you can put on though? They make it even simpler imo.

WAD Manager is the new way to do it, and there is a WAD Manager channel too, this is just the simplest way to get most people into it. Having the Homebrew Chanel by default allows them to use homebrew from the SD card without the hassle of installing everything as a channel (such as Emulators). Of course I will expand on this as well, and may include things like that in the future, right now it's just the basics.

I have a banner for the backup loader by wiigator. Does anyone know of a guide that I can follow which will allow me to install the backup loader in its very own channel, I'm accessing the loader the via the homebrew channel at the minute but it would be more convenient to access directly from the wii dashboard menu.

Any help, tutorials or guides anyware?

The only tool I know of at the moment is WADit, which can be found here:

I wouldn't recommend using it unless you have a modified Wii and Firmware 3.2 or lower.

Nice guide ! I'm completely new to the Wii (I don't even own one yet :D), but I am planning on getting me one.
Some basic questions on the Twilight Hack:

On which firmware version will the hack work ?

Which firmware version is likely to be installed on the Wii (EUR) at the moment ?

Is the Zelda game patched already or will any version of the game activate the hack ?

If the game is patched how can I recognize the unpatched version ?

Once the hack is applied will it reside on the Wii permanently or will I have to reapply the hack after cold boot ?

Other questions will probably pop up. If I can't manage to find them with google I'll post back. (I'm probably looking in the wrong places, but it seems to me the Wii scene is not as large as other scenes like the psp)

Thanks so far !

Good questions, I suppose I will answer them as I can.

Which firmware version is likely to be installed on the Wii (EUR) at the moment ?
Not really sure, but it will not affect installing homebrew. The only thing currently hurt by the 3.3 firmware is homebrew boot discs, so be VERY careful because even modded one's can't be unbrick. You will have a 1 year warrenty though.

Is the Zelda game patched already or will any version of the game activate the hack ?

If the game is patched how can I recognize the unpatched version ?
I haven't heard of any new versions not supporting it, although that does NOT mean that it is not.

Once the hack is applied will it reside on the Wii permanently or will I have to reapply the hack after cold boot ?
The exploit is MAINLY used to install channels. Once the channels are installed, you don't even need the hack on your Wii. Installed Homebrew Channels will not need anything additional to run, they run like any official channel would.

@pspwad:

Thanks for the reply. That really helped.
I'm not really 'into' the Wii yet, so the whole channel thing is completely new for me. But I'll get it all down before I make my way to the store. (I'm hoping for a price drop around the holidays :p).

I did read the BootMii news over at HackMii. Looks a bit like Pandora. I will be following that closely.

How much chance is there on bricking the console when installing the HBC ?

Greets

I would say low. Due to Nintendo's shotty programing, installing RANDOM channels I would not suggest, as a corrupt icon or banner WILL BRICK your Wii. That being said, most everything you need you can run from the hombrew channel. VERY FEW things need to be installed as a channel to run. There is a way to inject ROMs into virtual console games that you have in WAD format, however to change the icons, you have to do that manually. I personally bricked my Wii with a corrupt icon :(...although I'll be more careful in the future, if you want to go into modding banners and icons for channels, I'd suggest waiting for BootMii.

The wad manager download points to teh Wiki, but not to the exe, zip, rar download  , did I miss something>?

BTW, bad Wads, banner etc can brick your Wii etcetc...so is there any wayway to check if they are legit? I have a few, not isntalled yet, but how can I now if they are safe or not? Is abotu region locking? or something else?

Poor programing by Nintendo is the issue. I bricked my wii with my OWN icon because I chose the wrong file that had the wrong resolution. When they system loads, it reads the icons for ALL the channels, and if the icon is the WRONG resolution, it gets stuck in a loop. I suppose you COULD dump the WAD and check the image files for the icon and background, but if it's a public release that many people have used, the WAD should be okay.

Also, the wiki page has the download on the right side. It is a zip file.

good tut....

Your title of this thread says "(custom channels)" are you going to add a tutorial for how to create your own custom channels? I'd like to know how to do that! :)

I know I've seen something about that the banner icons have to be a certain size and format... is it that simple? seem rather easy/hard to mess up...

As long as the resolution is the EXACT size as it's supposed to be, it'll work, if not, it bricks your wii...so don't do like me and accidentally chose the wrong file because you named them similar, lol...:(

Also, I do plan on adding more to the tutorial.

Something to be aware of when isntalling Wads, is to check them with a program like freethewads to see if they are compatible with your Wii region ( US/EU/ Japan), freethewads should patch your wad, to your region or region free. Wrong region won't brick your wii, but you will see a message ons creen when starting the game saying the game cannot be played.., very nasty as when you already got your hands on PaperMario but Wii refuses to start the game :o

Thats true, but ive had a problem before saying the game cannot be played, and the way i got it to work was changing the video mode from NTSC to PAL or vice versa

Everyhting is not flowers in heaven anyways, when you patch PAL versions of wads, the screen on NTSC looks "croped", NTSC uses 480 vertical lines, but PAL 576, you can loose some important details on the top or bottom of your screen. People using NTSC Wii should try to get NTSC VC releases, injected or not. I don't know if there is a way to fix it. :o Maybe using Waninkoko region changer?

I came across the tutorial for creating your own channel with a back ground of a certain pixel size and ect... it was either on the wiibrew forums, or on the tehskeen forums... But for the life of me I can't find it again.
Could anyone post a link for me?

so here's my problem...
i updated today to the 2nd 3.3 update (the one for the Shop Channel), 'cuz i have a modchip, and wasnt afraid that i couldnt play backups anymore.
But then, when i wanted to install some WADs, it always gave me "error 2011"...for every WAD i tried.
I downloaded the CIOS downgrader, and the IOS37-64-v2070.wad, but when i run the installer i get the same error 2011 : "custom ios could not be installed ret 2011"

so can anyone figure this out please?...

Maybe your Wii memory's is full? or you didn't delete some other wad s properly. Try to backup your info, saves,e tc, and format the system memory...I think that s possible.
On other isntance, maybe you tried to isntal/uninstall wads with same "ticket", or did you previously "semi -brick" your Wii ? installed injected wads? or something similar?

I had the same problem and now I have a much bigger problem, first I installed Paper Mario WAD with no problem then for some stupid reason I decided to update my system to 3.3E thinking there would be no problem with WADs and since I already had HBC installed I didn¨t think I would have any problems. When I then tried to install more WADS I got the Error 2011. Removed PaperMario thinking the memory was full but now I can't install that either. I followed previous advise and backup my saves and formated the system memory forgetting that HBC would be removed to. Now I has and also when I try to install that again with the Twilight hack I get the same Error 2011 again so now I'm really screwed since I dont even have HBC. I can´t downgrade either since I need WAD for that. Any more suggestions?

I have PAL Wii. 3.3E and a Wikey 1.9

I don't think is teh chip, must be the addresses on the Wii's system memory, tickets and stuff, and good for you to point that "my advice" is not worth a penny on this case  mys system got that error last night too, when i tried to install another wad ;).
maybe should be good opening a new thread and request more "prefessional" help. BTW, Wad manager is still Beta, maybe a new version has some improvements. As far as I know the twilight hack should be compatible with 3.3 E/U/J . I am lucky sicne I got 3.1 still, and PSPWAD told me there is a selfbooting ISO to remove bad WADS.
I think teh wads are not ebing uninstalled properly, tehre must be "somethign" to do to clean thsoe addresses hecne leaving the memory system empty. a "total' format perhaps?

Hard to answer, it depends the compatibility, and how effective the things turn out, lets say like DA tweaks for PSP's FW? Yes, no Modchips on the future, but if is going to be always like somegames works, others can't, loading times incresed, no online, glitches, etcetc.. better to stick to modchips for a while.

when you do the edit banner and icon tut, can you explain how to inject a rom or wiibrew app with all the wad editing software? The wad injector never works for me, I'd rather do it manually.

Maybe you've already noticed it, but didn't find the time to update the guide. If so, please ignore this comment.

It's released just this evening. It's on Waninkoko's site, but I think you need to register to dl it. Well, that what I think, cause I do not speak Spanish at all.

It'll probably be spread by tomorrow, so an instant link will be available.

Well, after translating the page, it appears it doesn't work with 3.3v2 (aka 3.4) anyways, so it's not that big of a deal. It basically adds support to install WADs from USB.

I took a look ( I do speak spanish ), and really no turn aroudn for 3.3 v2, this update is jsut for support for MSHC, so THATs why the previous Wad manager one hangs up when installing from my USB adapter :D:D

It's reliable if you do it right...lol. The only thing that will hurt you is if you don't make the ICON AND BANNER THE EXACT SIZE IT NEEDS TO BE! If you fail to do that, then it bricks your Wii.

yes, you can use a Boot ISO to delte the bad wad, I am not a big fan to try custom Banner-thigns though. :o

haha, well I have 3.3 unfortunately... I wonder if there are any takers with 3.2 that would test my wads for me?!?

I wanna make custom emulator channels. Paradox makes a few, but I dont really like his banners. I tried updating the emus in them but it never works. it also wont go back to the wii menu right. He also doesnt have all the emulators I want as a channel...

If you just installed the new October Update, you are out of luck, you won't be able to install WADs until a new WAD manager that supports the new update is released.

I've managed to install the HBC and the BackupLoader channel through WAD Manager. So easy and flawless.
I didn't get the same thill I had when downgrading my psp (TA-082) for the very first time using the first release of the downgrader for that mobo.
But exiting none the less.

Now I'll need to figure out what exactly all that IOS stuff and menu version is all about.
Untill then no upgrading for me...Currently running 3.2e.

Any links or basic explanation on the matter are welcome. There's a lot of related info available, but teh basics are hard to find. Also 'starfall' is something I would like to learn more about.
And wtf is up with that trucha thing....

Yeah I know, google is my friend, but if these question pop to mind to a Wii noob like myself, a nice stickied thread covering the basic info would be very nice. And if this sounds like a request....It is, thanks ;)

What I know about trucha bug is that bug allows custom trucha-signed discs to be run on modded pre-3.3 Wiis. Custom tracks on Guitar Hero discs were possible because of the trucha bug. HBC installer ISO (for modded Wiis) also depends on trucha bug. Trucha bug was fixed in 3.3 by Nintendo. That's all I know about the trucha thingy though.. Correct me if I'm wrong :o

ok, so I finally decided to seriously try wad injecting since the Wii64 isn't near release yet...(I hope I am wrong!)

I have tried injecting Donkey Kong 64 into several N64 wads now, but it is n use. I have discovered that the injecturwads does NOT work on a Windows XP 64 bit machine. I had to do the injecting on a laptop with XP pro.
After successfully injecting the rom into several different wads (to try a wide variety in case it was a problem with the wad) I installed them on my Wii with the wad manager. The channel showed up, but would not go past the "You Need a Classic Controller" screen.

So, is N64 Wad injecting not workable yet? could it be my rom? (I get my rom backups from a reliable source. and it plays on my Computer) Has anyone else injected Donkey Kong 64 to a wad and played it?

and is there a way to change the rom in a wad the manual way? Like when banner editing?

thanks,

Two things:

1.- You will need the classic controller ( Or a NGC controller, or a PSone/Psx controller through and adapter ) connected to your Wii, without it, the game won t go through "You need the classic controller" . I am sure you already knew that, off course..:)

2.- DK 64 is one fo the heaviest as hell N64 Roms, and I highly doubt that only injecting it will work. Not all N64 are just drag and drop inside another N64 wad, they simply need extra things . Remember DK64 used the 8MB expansion slot. Wait for the VC release, I myself I am really anxious to pick up DK64 and LoZ MM. ;)

Wads are sooo cool, sure PC emualtors are great, but N64 really lacks a lot on advanced ROMs, but Wii does the Job perfectly.:D

Any game that "needs the Wii classic" controler, can accept the NGC one, they jsut don't say it..off coruse "BUY IT" is on the subliminal message :D. Even my PSxone to NGC adapter works with it :D.
You are jsut screwed with SNES games that don't have customizable buttons...like, lets say, Super Mario World ( NGC and PsX controllers have the A B X Y buttosn 90 degrees rotated considering SNes lay out ) , but most of them are working fine, specially the N64!!
I don't think Rare is in trouble with Nintendo, the game was licenced by Nintendo on N64, Rare cant do nothing about it, because Nitnendo is not trying to license the thing "again". I bet technical probelsma re what really will hold games like NeoGeo KoF95 and up, other Samurai Showdowns, later N64 games like perfect Dark, Conquers Fury, etcetc..

where did you get your PSxone to NGC adapter? I have found NES, SNES, N64 and Sega Genesis adapters, but not that one...

This is the one I have been using for years:

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-g4-49-en-70-14p.html

And this is the new version, or so they say, advertised for "Wii", but all in all, almost the same thing:

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-g4-49-en-70-2pz1.html

They both work and are aimed to use your PS1/2 on a NGC port. Thre is also a version III, not sure what changed. The only is mine didn't work with Mario DDR :D, my Dance pad didn't work at all on that game , maybe the new one does the trick.. :D

One advice, use your Psone pad instead of your Ps2 pad, the Analog buttons on NGC are neat , but when using the PS2 & adapter the R2/ L2 are annoyingly hard to get it right, you need to push harder all the time ( the pressure sensitiveness on Ps2 is pretty useless, and when converted it get worst.. :D ) R1/L1 will become NGC Z buttons. I jsut hate the Ps2 controller, really :D
Sure, when analog is required nothing match the NGC, but playing platform and VC ( not N64 ) is much better to use a PSone

Before I help any of my friends do the Softmod, via the Twilight Hack, I need to know if installing HBC would mean that they can no longer update their system? I don't know if future Wii games will have force firmware updates in order for them to be launched. I know that on the PSP, if you have a lower firmware, as long as you are using a M33 CFW, this will bypass the update and allow you to play the game, (stricktly talking about original games). Wouldn't want these people to come to me and say that their Wii broke because they bought a new game and try to play it. Basically, let say I install HBC on a Wii, will updating it cause the Wii to brick or will it turn it back into a Wii with a normal firmware? Like a CFW PSP, say if the idstorage keys aren't corrupt and you update the PSP with a OFW, you then get a normal PSP again. This also applys to the use of WAD manager as I've installed a couple of virtual console games via WAD manager, will updating the firmware after I have a couple of these custom channels brick the Wii or will they simply not work after an update?

Hi I'm a little confused I followed the instruction on how to create my own wad perfectly, but it won't install. I'm trying to see if Mortal Kombat Trilogy might work since it's untested. I injected it into a Sin & Punishment wad I found online, but when I launch the wad injector on the Wii it won't inject. The only thing I didn't do is edit the title & image, because I thought that was just an optional feature that you didn't have to do. So could someone help me? Thanks in Advance.

I originally started with wanting to use the ISO loader or the HBC but after reading figured I would go with the default method and use the Twilight hack. I have one question, without the original dvd is there a way to tell what version of the game it is (for US versions)? If not, what will happen if someone were to select the wrong game save? Anything horrible, or simply reset and load the other?

Thanks,

**EDIT** Original request below, please disregard and see above.

Is there an alternate download site available that can be trusted? I've been trying to access hbc dot hackmii dot com for the past couple days and have been unable to.

From hackmii.com

"Wiibrew server down
February 7th, 2009 by marcan · 8 Comments
mha’s server, which hosts Wiibrew, is currently down for as of yet unknown reasons. HackMii was also partially affected as the static content (images/CSS) was also hosted there - I’ve temporarily moved those to the main server (please don’t kill my bandwidth too much), but only blog content is here, so file links / post images might be missing. hbc.hackmii.com is also on the same server and equally affected."

Since there's no known reason and no ETR I was curious if someone had a trusted site where I could get the ISO file to install the WHC on a system WITH a drive chip.

Thanks ahead of time!

Q1: my wad has its own channel but when I click on it , it says "This channel can't be used" how do i fix?
Q2: I have homebrew installed but when I put my memory card in and start the channel it says SD ready then nothing is there how do I get it to read. I think I have my folders all messed up can someone give me a simple step by step. I think i might be slightly retarded.

Alright, so here is what I did. I went through a series of Genesis, SNES, and NES roms and ran AutoInjector on them, then tested them. Not all worked, but most did.

So after this I returned to my computer intent on making banners for them. I began with Super Castlevania IV...

...PERFECT, except it did not change the save game name...

Next up was Kick Master for the NES. I followed the guide word for word, until it came to the part where you were supposed to extract 00000005.app and replace banner.tpl "with the one provided". I could not do this because A one was not provided? B, there was no banner.tpl to replace.

So figuring I would be fine without changing the save game ICON, I merely finished the process and installed it on my Wii.

Now when I turn on my Wii I come to the black screen with all the dialog telling me to press A, and so I do...

...only to come to a black screen.

So my question is,"now what?"

I'm soft Modded btw.

There's your problem if you reassembled without replacing the banner.tpl the banner is not valid...you've bricked your Wii...I had that happen to me too, I hope it's under warranty, because if it is not it'll cost you $75 for the repair...sorry dude. The good news is, the way it's bricked they can't tell you have software stuff installed.

That's the thing...

...the original WAD had not banner file, nor did the package come with a replacement, otherwise I would not have skipped that step.

What was I missing there?

Anyhow, ya it is under warranty so I am hoping I get it back without my softhacks un-installed...

...I had a USB Loader Channel, Back UP Channel, and Gamecube Back up channel installed, not to mention the homebrew channel and custom Channels...

I don't know how they are not going to see that, but they stated on their page that they will do their best to restore my system as it was, and it is mine not theirs so...

...I'm hoping they don't erase MY software. :)

What they do is just replace the motherboard, so you'll loose everything. Hopefully they won't upgrade the firmware too...and as for the banner, you are suppose to replace the 00000000.app with the one provided in the packages (and yes it IS provided) as the original won't extract. There is a banner in there as well.

I donwloaded a bunch of PAL wad-files (for my PAL Wii with firmware 3.1e) and installed them using Wadmanager 1.4, but the NES and SNES wads that I install won't work.

When I run a SNES wad I get a blank screen and after a minute or so, it returns to the Wii-menu.

When I run a NES wad, I also get a blank screen, but with one difference. When I press the home button I do see the normal menu that pops up whn you press the home button and then I do see that the game actualle started and I can also read the manual. But when I leave the menu, the screen turns blank again...

(TurboGFX, N64 and Wiiware games that I install do work)

I replaced the banner in the 0000000 package, or rather I replaced the entire 0000000.app. It was the 0000005 package that I did not find a banner in.

For NES the savegame stuff won't be in there, and the banner is in the 0000000.app. Something you've done with the files inside of 0000000.app is what has bricked your wii, nothing in the 0000005 file will do that.

Well that's the thing, my images were all correct size, as usual I triple checked them, and made sure all the settings were as they should have been before rebuilding the bin, app, and wad file. Tis odd...

...I just hope if the new mobo is fully up to date that BootMii will allow me to get into a back door to re-hack my stuff.

(TurboGFX, N64 and Wiiware games that I install do work)I have the same problem that Wadwerktniet does. Certain games work; certain games don't. I tried five games - all of them would install, but the two non-working ones reset the console if I try to start the game. The non-working ones are MegaMan 9 and Final Fantasy MLAAK. I am using firmware 3.1u like Wadwerktniet. I have seen people having this problem around the internet, but I never saw the fix.

Does anyone have "the fix" or some explanation of what is wrong?

Hi there.

I'm having the same problem. My PAL Wii is on 4.0U, it is softmodded and gamma 0.3 and the usb loader run backups without any issues whatsoever.

However I cannot run any wads. I use Wadinstaller 1.4 to install the wad and it says the install is successful. When I try and run the game I just get a blank screen and it just sits there.

If I try and install an unpatched NTSC game it says this game cannot be played, therefore I know it's installing correctly. But when I install a PAL game I just get a blank screen when trying to run it.

Anyone know what's happening here? Thanks!

The problem I was having was that I was missing an IOS. IOS 37 to be exact. When I installed that, everything worked.

If you are missing an IOS, the system will reboot when you try to run a game that requires that IOS.

You can see what IOS's you have installed by running Homebrew Uninstaller. I am not exactly which one (there are many), but there is one that will show you all content installed on your Wii. You can delete stuff with it - however I just use it for seeing what's installed.

Hi there.

I have ios37 installed already. The Wii doesn't reboot, it just sits at a black, blank screen :/

you can run the home brew uninstaller to remove that and then just connect your wii to the internet and get a firmware update from Nintendo and that will revert your wii to factory settings. at least that is what i did when i need to get warranty work done on my wii.
