View Full Version : TESTERS NEEDED FOR TUTORIAL WRITEUP (Modchip & 3.2 Firmware Required)

I'm currently working on a tutorial on modifying WAD files' icons and banners. I need someone with a modchip and the 3.2 firmware so that they have the ability to run the WAD Manager Autoboot. The reason for this is, if the Icon of the WAD is corrupt or the wrong size it will softbrick the Wii, and WAD Manager autoboot disc will allow the user to uninstall the WAD file (basically, unsoftbrick the Wii). The tester will first test the WAD Manager disc and tools BEFORE testing any WAD files to made sure they work.

I appreciate any help I can get. Also, the 3.3 firmware blocks the autoboot WAD Manager disc, hence why I am requesting help by someone with the 3.2 firmware.

As for anyone who may not know what a WAD is, WADs, after installed, become channels on your Wii console.

No offense but shouldnt you be sorting out spambots instead of a tutorial most would have to downgrade to use? its no wonder this site has gone to crap :D

You won't have to downgrade to use, they are fully useable on 3.3, BUT, testing on 3.3 is another story since there is no method to...remove a bad file, hence why I want to make sure everything is working perfectly before finalizing some details on the tutorial. Also, as of right now I only have LIMITED mod access, so I can't control the spambots in EVERY section :-\...

3.1 will work fine, it's modded correct? The main issue was that 3.3 block the homebrew boot disc. Just drop me a PM and I'll get you more details ;)!

yep one D2A wiikey clone, the other D2E D2pro9 the other with no drive at all but ive got it topless so i can always plug in the 9 wire DVD drive to it.
