Clear guide how to use devhook / umd emulator

I have JAP 1.0 version psp with no original UMD discs.

Can somebody please guide if, and how, i can use "devhook" or "umd emulator"?

This place is full of small pieces of information, and i can't find a good instructions if i can even use these programs on my version of PSP. Last time i asked something and result was just that the thread was deleted.

i think they both require you to have 1.5 firmware, not entirely sure about devhook, but i am sure about umd emu. just upgrade to 1.5?

Download the 1.5 eboot and upgrade.
Copy umdemu and devhook files to memory stick.
copy iso to iso folder.
start umdemu and system load your iso.
start devhook and run your iso (not umd)
