Hello I just shorted out my wii about 50 minutes ago.
I was modding it with Wasabi wii-clip and when I went to test the system, I hooked it up and went to turn it on with a small screw driver. Well it slipped and I shorted out the two spots... heard a tiny zap and now it wont turn on. Ive been reading posts about fuses on the drive board, but how about the motherboard. Is there any fuses on the mobo that I can check. I didnt see any N fuses like the drive.
Ur help is appreciated!!:(

lol I know it was a stupid move, dont work on these things when you're tired... its really not a relaxing hobby.
I havent found any N fuses on the main board, I seen what I think was one near the main power connector, but there was continuity so on I looked.
Still havent figured it out...
Guess Im just going to randomly start testing items...

Well it doesn't look good. Havent found anything on the net to help me aimlessly checking the main board, so Im going to start looking for a repair depot.... know any good ones... in Canada?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-- FIXED --!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
Well it works. And the only thing different that I did was unplugg the Wii power cable from the wall, read that on Nintendo's site.
Didn't think it was going to work and I plugged it in and green light!!!
But know playing around with Wasabi and Wii-clip, drive doesnt want to work. I tested it after the ressurection and worked. Now after chip install not working.
hmmm....................

The Wasabi is making the DVD drive not work. When I power up with Wasabi installed the chip goes from red to green but the dvd drive is dead. Remove the chip and it works fine?

does the f points need soldering up ? or have they used the v5b clip instead of the v5 , if this is the case the f points do not need soldering
