I'm getting the d2pro9v3 and I have an experienced solderer at my disposle. All he needs is instructions of how to install it. Any video showing how to install it and where? Thanks.

the installation guide on the d2pro website is crap. It has 2 images with keys, I have no clue what its on about.

I'm looking for videos on youtube for d2pro, but it's all speeded up and everything, nothing is step-by-step.

You won't find anything step by step videos. Just use the guides on the web site, if he's an experienced modder it won't be a problem.

if your installer cant follow the guide on the d2pros website then he shouldn't be modding your wii . just solder the wires from the chip to the corresponding point on your wiis drive board ,its as easy as that.

I don't think its as easy as that.

You open the wii up and there's loads of stuff there.

Which wire goes where?... there's about a thousand different options.

Look at the pictures man. Save money in the long run and send it to someone who knows what they are doing.

look at the picture and then look at the drive board, you cant go wrong if you follow the drawing, if you cant do that ? then i sugest you find some one who can, as you will be soldering to the ics, and if you havent soldered to them b4 your in for a shock

Just get a wii-clip. it makes it 5000 times more easy.

I have a d2pro9v3 soldered to wii clip but it's not soldered everywhere, the spots that are soldered are c,d,e,f,g,h,j,303 and ground. Will this chip work or should i send it back to make them solder all the other points?
Thanks,
Doc

If they can't read a simple install diagram, find someone else who could do it, because they shouldn't be modding anything if they can't read a simple diagram.

mine came in without all the points soldered too.... but it works fine. If you look inside of the clip part (where it attaches to the drive) you'll notice that there are only a few metal points that connect, so those traces don't all need soldering

"send it back and get all the point soldered up , or your chip may fall off."

all the point are soldered that are needed to be , if you took your time to read up on the product before you bought it ,you would not be asking stupid questions that get answered every single day .

Thanks DrLucky for answering without critiziing me like didineedthis did.I did look through many threads and didn't find any that pertained to that subject..I have done a lot of research and all the pictures that show chip soldered on the clip had all the points soldered.I had purchased the chip already soldered and wanted to make sure it was ok.
So again thanks DrLucky for the help.

Well, these type of tutorial forums get a lot of noobs (we all were once) and still more lots of the same questions... It can get tiring. And didineedthis is a pro and big time helper on here..... Most of the common things get stickyed, and the rest is up to the threads
but I thought your question was rather uncommon.

At last resort, there is also search button at the top of the forum page.

Maybe we should have a sticky for FAQs....

maybe you should learn to read more instead of waiting to be spoon fed the information.

for example

"I have DC2-D1A. How many wires do I need to install? "
"What's the recommended DVD's to write on for Wii Games? "
"Difference between NTSC and PAL?"
"Any pictures/videos showing how to install ModChip? "

all threads of yours in the last week or so , all could have been answered simply by reading ,you will not fully understand how to run/install a modchip unless you read everything you can, im not trying to have a go at you , just trying to avoid you bricking your wii,if you really cant get most of the info you need under your own steam , then maybe you should contact one of the great installers in here and get the wii chipped for you, just my opinion tho :D
