I'm getting the d2pro9v3 and I need to know which blank dvds to get for ripping wii games?

Other than DVDs, is there any other method of playing wii/gc games with the d2pro9v3?

Thanks.

I don't see why verbatim is any better than the amazon dvds I mentioned earlier. In the comments of verbatim, it seems people are having problems. I think i'll go with amazons dvds :)

I hear TDK is good but I would go with DVD-R instead of DVD+R also buy a small pack in case your Wii does not read them well also I burn at about 4x with good results

i personelly think its a case of try and test as most peoples have different burners, discs etc.. thats my opinion:p

I use TDK DVD+R they seem to read almost every time burned at 6x, cos you cant go any lower than that with them.

DONT Get TDK-R I tried them on my d2pro console dont read them at all.

Vega DVD-R Reads fine though

I use Verbatim mainly, write at 4x without any issues. I have also tried Maxell and they seem fine.

Wow,I use Sony DVD+r with a plextor burner at 4X and havent had one not read in roughly 50 games.

I've been using Sony DVD-r at 2.4x speed.

I dont think the big issue is readability, but the quality so that the wii disc drive doesn't wear out.

I am planning on buying some professional, better-than-verbatim, DVDs from Discmasters (check my post here on it: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=124208 ) so I'll get some soon and let you know how it goes...

Verbatim maybe cheap, but I still think its high quality as not many discs have the azo techechnology Verbatim has, which gives longer life to your discs.

oh, I wasn't dissing Verbatim in anyway, just saying that I found discs better than the best!

Nothing new was working for me until I was told to get Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's... I can burn them at 16X and they always work. TAIYO YUDEN!
