I just installed a wiizard on my D2C (D2C2) whichever I'm not sure, but I've double checked everything and when I power on the Wii the drive does NOTHING(no spin up nothing and yes it's plugged in), ok so I removed chip and then the drive works fine. I figured ok maybe I'll try the Alt X, tried that and now the drive is once again unresponsive. Is this a symptom of a dud chip, a certain wire installed bad? I've tried jumpers for D2C and D2C2 and same result.

try using a multimeter to test the connections and the chip.

try using a multimeter to test the connections and the chip.
Tested connections with meter didn't find any bridges and everything seemed to tone out to the right pin/pad
I've done Wiikeys/ PS2 Magic 2/3, 360 chips wouldn't call myself an expert, but would say I'm proficient with solder. I'm just stumped here.

Well, post a pic of your install and we could all take a look at it.

Found out my CK trace was damaged, and jumpered around that and now it works great. Many thanks to everyone here and especially to the Support team for Wiizard, I definitely will say that the Wiizard is a proper chip and it works great now that I'm past my mistake!!
