hi.
i am planning to buy a new laptop and was wondering if anybody can help me out with my questions.
1. which laptop brand can burn a good/playable back-up wii game on a dvd-r?
2. can you recommend a good/reliable external dvd (dual layer) burner that i can use for burning my back-up games?
thanks!

laptop brands won't really make a difference the drive does sometimes but generally it doesn't matter I've had pioneer, lg, nec, optiarc drives and found that they work about the same with the exception of early lg burners. You could always get an internal dual layer dvd burner for a laptop.

I have a sony vaio laptop with a built in duel layer dvd writer, which burns wii games perfectly. Don't know what model it is though!

most laptops will burn wii games fine , xbox360 can get tricky as you have problems updating the burners firmware on a lot of laptop burners, but you shouldn't have a problem with wii games.
