Soldering Required for D2B Pins Cut w/ D2Pro9 & V4C Wii Clip??

Sorry if this has been posted before; I've searched for a while and have not found a specific answer to this question on the forums. I have a D2B Wii with the drive pins cut. I would like to know if I will need to solder the J points on my board if I have the D2Pro9 with the V4C Wii Clip. Simple answer would be great, or just a link to another post that I missed would be awesome. Thank you!
