wii system update by sd or dvd

hi all,

was just wondering is it possible to update your wii by sd card or dvd.am asking this as i need to update my friends wii so i can load the homebrew channel.

when using the zelda hack to load the homebrew channel i get a message about updating yout ios,and i dont have any orginals with 3.1e. or 3.2e.

what I usually do is just update via internet, and then use the downgrader to get back to 3.2. The latest version of the Twilight hack will work with 3.3, so you should be able to run the homebrew channel after a full update anyways. You can't really update the system menu any other way if the twilight loader won't run.
