Buying Premodded Wii - Which Chip???

Hi,

I am looking to buy a new pre modded wii, but there seems to be several different chips to choose from. So far I have come accross-

D2SunV1.3
D2Pro D2E
Wasabi V3D2E
Argon

The only functionality that we want is to be able to play back up copies of games.

Which chip do you guys recomend?

All advice is appreciated.

Thanks ganon, Prices seem to be between £250 - £270 I hadnt really decided as yet where to get it from.

Hi there, i have new uk wii's in stock , they come with the d2sun v3.0 pre installed , they also have an external on/off switch so you can turn the chip off and on at will, it's also programmable and rock solid.
I ship next day via ups or interlinkexpress.
Cost is £259 delivered.

the wasabi v3 is the most stable chip out there , the d2pro9v3 offers the best supported chip, the aragon has just released there d2e ,this is not tested enough , the d2sun not updatable yet, updates due shortly though ??

The d2sun version 3.0 is updateable via programmer and is the only chip with an external on/off switch, it's also very reasonably priced and works 100% with all games on all chipsets.

it all depends what nintendo bring out, the d2pro9 has had a few updates since the arrival of the d2e drives, but they seem to be on top of things at the moment.

Good choice.. He modded my wii for me about 5 months ago and I recieved it in the post the next day.. Im also running the d2pro chip and have over 300 games (proper wii releases) that all work perfectly on my PAL system.. :D

Thats good to hear Wiiger, thanks for letting me know.

I think it arrived today but as noone was in we couldnt accept the parcel.

I guess we will have to wait till Thursday, Its a christmas present for my son so theres no rush.
