Bleach2 ripping questions

the smallest i could get BLEACH2 down to was 170mb :( , but not that i make it that small. i used daemon tools to open the iso and vcdrom x to rebuild it while taking out certain files.
The way i did it was i removed
PSP_GAME\SYSDIR\ eboot.bin & UPDATE folder
PSP_GAME\ all those little files in there (wont affect anything)
PSP_GAME\USRDIR\data\ remove the browser folder
PSP_GAME\USRDIR\data\fpack and remove enlist folder



REPLACE the files that are in 'PSP_GAME\USRDIR\data\str\movie' with the ICON1.pmf(which is in PSP_GAME) and you should get a 264mb file.

Well enlist folder, browser folder and UPDATE folder are ok.
The problem is in Movies.
There are 23 files.
Shadowmanz hint is not proper - his way aint work, the game doesnt starts.
There 2 intro-movies before game boots. And we have to save them.

So there are:
0000.pmf
1000.pmf
2000.pmf
...
23000.pmf

2 random files from that list are intro-movies, not the first 2 files as you thought (0000 and 1000 !!!!) - i alredy checked.
I saved random 3 files and rest changed for dummies.
And i got luck - first clip plays, but required the second one, so my game anyway doesnt boot.
I tried to save next files to those random - but nothing. So actually i dont know what of those 3 files is proper only guess and i dont know whats the second file i need.. i guess these gays-developers or just dumbasses or made it specially to protect the game from riping.

Check every file from this list, making iso every time and copying to psp - will took ages. Is there any codec / program to see .pmf files on PC?

There is another system.
2 intro-videos before booting.
1st video is random from 1000.pmf - 15000.pmf every time you start the game
2nd video is 0000.pmf

Rest can chenge to dummies.


Total size after rip: 252mb

I've tried practically everything, but I simply cannot get bleach to shrink to any size. I have the 626mb version. I tried ripping just the movies 16000 > 23000, still wont load. tried just ripping story & enlist & update.. no load. what the hell am I doing wrong? I do it all in windows, then I use umdgen.exe to make the iso, then I run on the psp with UMD Emulator v0.8c..

any suggestions or guides as to what else I should be using would save me from this trouble.. I've counted it now, and I have 23 bleach.iso's in my recycle bin.

okay I use the word ripping a lot, so I'll just explain what I do:

step one. look at iso, right click and, with winrar, extract it to a folder.

step two, delete \PSP_GAME\SYSDIR

step three, delete \PSP_GAME all small files, except for ICON1.PMF

step four, delete \PSP_GAME\USRDIR\data\browser

step five, delete \PSP_GAME\USRDIR\data\fpack\story

step six, delete \PSP_GAME\USRDIR\data\fpack\enlist

step seven, use ICON1.PMF, rename many times to 16000.pmf > 23000.pmf, deleting originals.

step 8, click and drag PSP_GAME & UMD_DATA.BIN into UMDGen.exe (keeping directory structure)

step 9, make iso.. 10 > 15 test, vent frustration, kill children, etc..

@kaneda - he means copy icon1.pmf, paste and rename it to 16000.pmf. Then replace the original 16000.pmf with this smaller file. Then repeat the same thing with all the other pmfs up to 23000.pmf

I just tried it myself, and apparently, building the ISO with UMDGen doesn't work ! But the same ISO made with VcdromX works... Can someone confirm ?

also i used umdgen with no good results.i used this to do it. no problems YA_UMD_iSO_Shrinker_v0.3b but i kept all the movies when i used this.
