ALL MOVIES SOUND MUSIC AND SPEECH still intact

It took me awhile but i worked it out here my guide to putting Pursuit Force multi or european version on a 1 gig stick with sound movies and music still intact.

You need to have the following tools
UMD EMULATOR 8.0C
Expert Tool from (www.alucard.cc)
Umdgen
Winrar or Iso Buster
Dummy creator

locate the purusitforce iso
Exract the iso using winrar or iso buster

open the psp_game folder delete the update folder (its in the psp_game sys folder)

go into the movies folder, dummy all the foreign movie files the ones that contain FR, GE, IT and SP in their name. use Dummy creator just drag and drop
the files into dummy creator that you want to dummy, then click dummy

next download expert tool (Experimental tool) from www.alucard.cc with the pursuit force plugin.

Open expert tool click on plugins choose pursuit force plugin.

Click open select the music.pak folder thats inside your pursuit force folder.

Next click "extract LBA" wait for it to finish.

Next click "extract file" make sure you DO NOT CLOSE THE PROGRAM

now go into the extracted music folder, dummy all but the english music files all the ones with FR, GE, IT and SP in their name.

go back to expert tool click build file

next click build LBA.

you will have to delete the original music.pak file and the new.lba and lba.txt files, then rename the new-music.pak to music.pak
close expert tool.

Next

Open expert tool click on plugins choose pursuit force plugin.

Click open select the ALL.pak file thats inside your pursuit force folder.

Next click "extract LBA" wait for it to finish.

Next click "extract file" make sure you DO NOT CLOSE THE PROGRAM

now go into the extracted all.pak folder find the sound/speech folder , dummy all but the english speech files all the ones with FR, GE, IT and SP in their name.

go back to expert tool click build file

next click build LBA.

you will have to delete the original all.pak file and the new.lba and lba txt files, then rename the new-all.pak to all.pak

you should be left with just modules_psp MOVIES ALL.PAK and Music.pak left inside your usrdir/psp_game folder.

Last step

open up umdgen

copy Psp_game folder and umd_data.bin into umdgen

click file save as it will create an .iso

copy the iso into UMD EMULATOR 8.0C

You should ave an iso thats about 932 MB still alot of space left for save games.

Anyone know where to get dummy creator?

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing till I searched the forums here and found this (http://forums.maxconsole.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=5039) on the last page of the Shrinking UMD Games To Fit sticky.

It's called ZeroFile.

Created by Gaidin for the ps2 scene.
Simply right click on a file and select 'replace with dummy'

I followed Aenea's instructions to the tee in which he says to delete the
update folder and ended up with the 931MB iso as expected, it started
and also got to the first screen (the one that explains what a flashing
memory stick icon means and to press X to continue) I press it,
nothing happens for 10-15 secs and the PSP shuts down.

Using the ripkit seriously beats doing it manually like Aenea says
but it's still not working (for me) and I quite liked this ripkit as
some others really butcher the iso, ripping EVERYTHING out.
I have an asian version (1006) PSP with 1.5FW don't know
how relevant this is to the problem though. I tried using
the UMDEmulator / MPHLoader combination as well
as the latest Devhook Evolved.

I know they're essentially the same thing but I was optimistically
hoping devhook may have had a little extra punch. I've seen on
other threads people say PF starts with no problem so I wonder
if something is going wrong in the shrink and that it works fine
for the guys running the original PF iso rip off a 2GB stick.
