For DS cartridges, use Rudolph's NDS Backup Tool. If all you have is a slot-1 device, you'll need to use the wifi version, with this guide (http://www.monroeworld.com/ds/hacking/backup/). If you've got a 3in1 as well, you can use the 3in1 version with this guide (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=83474).
For GBA cartridges, use Rudolph's GBA Backup Tool to dump the games.

All I have so far is the DSTT and its software. Is this known as the slot-1 device? If yes, then I need to use the WiFi guide....right???

Correct. Note that you'll need have a working wireless access point (a router) in order for it to work.

Is that the only way? I live in a community that has free wireless, so I don't have a router of my own. Any other way to do this without the 3 in 1?

Not that I'm aware of, no.

What you really need to be able to do is connect your DS to an ftp server on your PC. If you can connect your DS to the free wireless, it still might be possible. Have you ever tried playing a DS game over the wireless?

Kinda related - so I'll ask here rather than start a new thread...
Do I need to do something with the save files created by the Wifi tool to get them to work on a M3 Simply?
(I ask because I noticed that the save file generated for Opera is 256k, but the file the M3 creates is 512k, and I get an error message when trying to run the backups on the M3)
Any pointers appreciated :)

What type of error? The error about needing a slot-2 RAM expansion means just that - you must have some form of slot-2 RAM inserted in order to use the Opera browser.
Most games don't need all 512 KB for save files, but some do so that's why it's the default on the M3 Simply. You can merely pad up the file you get from SavSender up to 512 KB and it should work.

The error I get is "Save/bookmark files damaged. Please recreate the archive" - both for Opera and for Mario Kart
I'll try padding the files and see if that makes a difference - cheers

Update: Padding the files seems to have done the trick. Thanks again :D

I think no$gba has support for the microphone. Make sure the volume for the microphone is loud enough to be detected.
