There has been a new release of UMDGen - a utility which helps people to build their own PSP ISO files. New features include added 'Project' workspace - now you can Save/Load projects as well as much more!

ChangeLog

Added 'Project' workspace - now you can Save/Load projects.
Added 'Relinking' - Relink un-needed files to save more space.
Added the ability to change Date and Time of iSO creation.
Added the convenience to delete folders from the Folder Tree.
Re-structured the way UMDGen stores file/folder information in memory
- result is better success rate with rebuilt iSOs.
Re-coded drag and drop routine to accept Windows compressed folders.
Other minor code modification for overall smoother running.

so how exactly does this implement "re-linking" - since i see no mention of it, and cant figure out a way to actually do it... its something ive been waiting for, the ability to "re-link" files to others rather than dummy them...

the readme says they did it, but i dont see it in the program...

EDIT: ok, found it - you select the files within the directory browser, and right click - you can do it there - well done, a nice release!

the relinking doesnt work properly i tried it and instead of do the relinking it adds the master file to all other files lol.So the final ripped iso isnt ripped at all :)

gherudos... thats the whole point...
it makes it look as if they are all one identical file, but if you use a tool like isobuster, you will see that all files have the same LBA number - which means they are all stored in exactly the same place... so they are all 'linking' to one original master file. If you check the size of the ISO, only the master file size is included, wheras all of the others linking to it dont add to the filesize.

Yes it's very nice when you like only one music track in your game for instance ;)
