View Full Version : RACE Pro is exclusive to Xbox 360 as the developers didn't have a budget for PS3

SimBin boss Henrik Roos has revealed that RACE PRO is exclusive to the Xbox 360 as they had to finance the production of the game alone and the company simply did not have the budget for a PS3 version. He also added that it can be interesting to be exclusive to one platform although failed to elaborate further on this.

SimBin boss Henrik Roos has said that developing exclusively for one console “could be interesting,” when referring to SimBin’s decision to make RACE Pro exclusive to the Xbox 360.

When asked by our sister publication, 360 Gamer magazine, why SimBin had decided to make the game a 360 exclusive, Roos admitted that financial matters had played a part in the decision – but added that it could also have possible benefits as well.

“SimBin has financed this production our self and we simply did not have the budget to do a PS3 [version],” Roos said.

Looking on the bright side though, he added that “it could also be interesting to be exclusive on one platform, if the support from the platform holder is good.”

Unfortunately, Roos didn’t elaborate on what exactly was meant by this. Although it is worth remembering that many third party developed exclusives have used their exclusivity as an effective marketing tool in the past.

it's made by GT-R creators so it will play nice but graphically, GT5 still stand victorious. Also i am not sure about it being a competitor to GT5 as the next racing sim. GT5 perfects the genre period so it would be interesting to see what this game will deliver in terms of gameplay. Sure Forza 2 was just OK but it's nowhere near GT5 and shouldn't have been a competitor. Last Round for M$. We'll see if this game lives up to its expectations.

And thats based on what exactly? your obvious biased opinion of the PS3 console? Christ thought they had got rid of the idiot fanboys the other day but seems you missed the ban boat.

Not heard much about the game myself so be nice to see what they come up with.

The big ban is coming for you sooner or later. You bring absolutely nothing to this site but wasted bandwidth.

Graphics =/= Racing physics. GT5 is nothing more than a pretty game to look at. I played GT5P and wasn't impressed with it one bit. In fact, it made go back and play Forza 2 again just so I could forget about how bad the physics are in GT. The cars have no mass, no damage simulation, no tuning. It's a driving simulator, not a racing simulator. Forza2 is as dead on as they could possibly get to real physics. If you've even taken a car onto a race track, you'd know how inaccurate the Gran Turismo series is, and I'm not just talking about the lack of damage.

i stopped reading there. you're an xbot troll. just shut your account down now please. first of all...GT5 is not even out...and yes it's my mistake for not putting P after it on my earlier post but...seriously,Forza 2 physics are a joke and anyone can agree on that. Also GT5 i believe will have vehicle deformation. It will definitely be realistic unlike Forza 2.

Xbox troll? No. You fail for making that statement. I race every weekend, whether I'm doing SCCA Autocross, NCCA Time Attack or just Go-Karting, I'm doing something that involves taking a vehicle around a track. The vehicle dynamics in Forza2 are amazing. Unless GT5 has a completely new physics engine, then it will be nothing more than GT5P. I was a huge fan of GT 1, and 2. The series hasn't made any improvements, other than graphical, since 2. 3 and 4 were the exact same games, and 5P felt no different. If you want to think GT5 will be the best 'racing simulator', than go ahead and think that it is, but coming from someone who has REAL track experience, Forza 2 will remain the better simulator.

"Forza 2 will remain the better simulator" as long as GT5 is a PS3 exclusive eh? Ignore this troll.

The only thing Forza 2 has over GT5P is vehicle customization. Claiming that you have racing experience and then claiming that Forza 2 is the best simulator makes me doubt you have any racing experience.

pc sim racers are the best tbh (with wheel), rfactor with mods is awsome. not played gt4p so cant really say, but i doubt it is as realistic as console racers never are. Forza was alright i guess, but the ai was shite which completly ruined it.
