We've seen quite a few reviews which praise the original Talismoon Whisper fan for the Xbox 360, but few have surfaced regarding the follow-up product - the WHISPER MAX for Xbox 360. TW DeCeND of TXB has posted up a review of it notes that those who "are looking for a dependable, sensible, and affordable option that promises to keep the 360 cool and delivers. This is IT." After a few weeks of testing with the Whisper MAX, he found that with the NITRO mode on the fan, the Xbox 360 gets only slightly above room temperature and if his hand is moist after playing, the 360 actually feels COLD.

OPERATION:
After a few weeks, I can say that my 360 exhaust while on NITRO mode is only slightly above room temperature, luke warm at best, and if my hand is moist from playing it actually feels COLD! The top of the xbox is often cool to the touch, somtimes faintly warm, compared to before it would feel quite warm at times. The lights on the back make a cool glow on the wall behind the xbox. The switch is easy to access(it sticks out of one the of the vent holes). And whenever I watch a movie I'll leave it on 5v for the noise factor. At 12v the fans are slightly louder than the DVD drive is on full speed, so you wont notice alot of difference while playing games. The LEDs that come in it are blue but the package contains Green and Red that are easy to change.
NOTE: I also own a Antec Laptop Cooling Pad and I have my 360 laying horizontally on it for complete air circulation on all sides of the xbox, I'm not sure how much this aided in the cooling, but both before and after impressions of the Talismoon fan were taken while using the Cooling Pad. So regardless of the pad, the Talismoon fans definately make a huge difference all by themselves.
You can see demonstrations of the finished product HERE:

Here is a video of the switch binding up and the fans momentarily losing power, just so everyone knows what I was trying to describe earlier(this guy doesnt have the external button to the switch installed so he has to use a tool to turn it on):

SCORE:
Ease of installation 7/10 (Nitro switch needed slight adjustment)
Looks: 10/10 (Can't go wrong when you can choose the color you want)
Cooling Ability: 9/10 (Stunning cooling ability, but because I didnt have a way to measure temperature I could not give it a perfect score)
Noise Level: 7/10 (12v mode is really loud, slightly louder than the DVD drive, but because you can switch it to silent mode at the touch of a button, its hard to argue with that kind of innovation)
CONCLUSION:
Ok sure, if you keep your xbox well ventalated with the temperature in your house a constant 73 degrees and dont play for longer than a couple hours at a time, then sure you probably don't need this fan.
But lets face it, not everyone can keep their console well ventalated because most of the time they get stuffed in an entertainment center shelf, and not everyone can keep their house 73 degrees because its getting hotter and hotter each year, and most of us who consider ourselves hardcore gamers, 2 hours isn't even close to good gaming session. So for those people, I offer the Talismoon Whisper Max Fan in the higheset regards towards a reliable, effective, and sexy looking cooling solution.
