Yes, I'm glad i downloaded the demo because it made me realise how **** a game this is.
Honestly, anyone expecting a follow up to JK2 or Jedi Academy will be very disappointed. As far as the "advanced physics" that uses Euphoria goes, its nothing more than a PS2 game - and doesnt compare to how GTA4 uses it. The graphics are pretty good, nothing exceptional.
All this amounts to a stupid platform game where you mash the B button to use the lightsabre. Its basically a kids version of God of War.
All i can say is that I was extremely disappointed. Buy it for your <10year old kid and they'd enjoy it.
edit: LOL i just realised they're porting this to the PS2. That explains the mediocre physics. The gameplay of this game is by no means next-gen.

I agree completely. The game feels so mediocre, I can't believe people are hyping it up. It just goes to show what the Star Wars license and a few flashy trailers can do to sell a game.

I also downloaded and realized how mediocre the demo was. I am really hoping they add more to the retail. You "Level Up" in the demo so I am hoping this means you can adjust your force powers and spend them like "talent points" to make them stronger. Something like in Jedi Knight 2 and 3.
I won't judge the game entirely by the demo, but I must admit, it didn't tickle my fancy... :)

All I can say is this, to those who haven't played JK2 or Jedi Academy, then yes this game might be pretty good. But I think lucasarts totally screwed the pooch when the didn't make a multiplayer, if it had that I might actually buy this, but for now its a rental.

I enjoyed the demo (my 360 HD is full so I got it on the PSN where it is the #1 download as well), but I know the final build won't be as fun.
I read on Penny Arcade that they have the final build and feel the same way.

Yeah, going by the demo (one of very very few things I've bothered to connect to live for) they were aiming more at portability than anything else. I mean, there is going to be DS and PSP versions - and I'm absolutely sure they didn't want to make the game again for each console.
That said, the commercials are bloody awesome - too bad the demo doesn't come close to that level of "bloody awesomeness." In some strange way it reminds me of a more fleshed out lego starwars...
I guess I'm going against the grain here...but I thought the game was lots of fun.
I played the demo 3 times, I'm eagerly waiting for its release.
I'm not a huge star wars fan, but this game was a lot of fun.
4 outta 5.

Not only to PS2, but to EVERY platform out there! Even the iPhone...

I couldnt believe how poor this game was.
Its extremely convoluted when you use the force powers on a lot of enemies and very poorly executed. They have also copied Conan with the scripted button presses on the bosses.
It looked so good in the videos but its absolutely rubbish to play.
KOTOR 3 please Lucasarts?
