MS considering porting Xbox 360 games to iPhone?

A number of websites are posting up that MS is considering porting Xbox 360 games in a lesser form to the iPhone. The speculation comes as Phil Spencer of Microsoft Game Studios noted that Spore is a good example of cross platform play and went on to say that if the right opportunity arises for something on the iPhone, then MS will consider it. However, we'd consider this more as a general discussion rather than anything concrete.

I don't know why they keep saying the iphone is so powerful. Anyone who owns it, especially the new 3g ones, knows that if you have 3 applications open, the thing not only starts to jitter badly, but there are times where touching a button gets the response upto 1SECOND later.

On topic, would actually make pretty good business sense to allow some of the M$ owned games catalogue available to the iphone. Would have thought tho if it was true it would put a big hole in the idea of promoting the zune as a portable games player too.

I'd rather see them port games to the PSP or DS. i have an Iphone but aside from monkeyball, the thing doesn't seem that flexible. I tried quake onit, it wasn't bad, but having to use the screen for the game and the controlls is a bit irritating to me.

MS are not in competition with any of the handheld consoles so I don't see why they don't release on the proper ones.

Seeing as the arcade games are flash/shockwave and iphone does not support this yet, would indicate if rumour is true then flash is coming to iphone which will open alot of doors for content on device.
