is it possible to use a 360 hard drive transfer cable to connect to the computer instead of the datel transfer kit
or does it have to be the datel transfer kit?

ive tried with the 360 transfer cable and i cant get it to work
like when i go into device manager it goes under usb controllers then usb mass storage device instead of other devices??

but its supposed to?! dont use the drivers that come with the datel transfer kit thats all, use the ones provided that are lying somewhere around here

but im connecting a memory unit to it? lol
the computers reading it but when it comes to device manager it just stays as "usb mass storage device" even after updating the driver using the memory unit drivers off this site

ive searched through the forums, read the tutorials but cant find how to get past this so i thought maybe this doesnt work and i should just buy the datel transfer kit?
