EA's NHL 09 is one of the best sports games to be released in last decade

We've played it too, so we totally agree. EA's NHL 09 really wipes the floor with 2K Sport's latest NHL offering. Anyhow, IGN has posted up its review on EA's latest hockey game and to quote "NHL 09 isn’t just a great hockey game, it’s one of the best sports games to be released in the last decade." Overall: 9/10.


NHL 09 isn’t just a great hockey game, it’s one of the best sports games to be released in the last decade. It takes the right analog stick controls first pioneered in last year’s game and pushes them forward ever so slightly while pouring on features that everyone from newbies to diehards will appreciate. The only question remaining is how they’ll follow this sports game of the year contender once next season rolls around.

Fifa 2008 was shockingly good compared to previous ones, was actually better than PES, which was my favorite up until then.

I have played the demo, it's an improvement over NHL 08 no doubt, I would agree with it being the best NHL game I've ever made.

i have play the ps3 version on my 1080p sony tv, and the gfx is not really good, i hope the xbox360 version is better, did not have time to download the demo yet on live.

Well I played it on my 1080p Sharp tv it looked great, The lighting physics have greatly improved from NHL 08, I played the demo first on my friends PS3 and it looked worse...

Maybe they are running at different resolutions?

Guess we'll find out tomorrow. But I think there is a mode that will allow 6 vs 6. Has something to do with your custom characters I believe.
