I'm about to install a Modbo 4.0 on a v12 PS2. I have the diagram, and I read this post:
http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=77855

Just a few questions:
1. My solder is 1mm diameter... he said thicker than .7mm pencil lead... well 1mm is a little thicker than .7mm. Should I try and find some narrower (it seems like it'd help).
2. I have some wire from a circuits lab back when I was taking a basic circuits class years ago, but I have no idea what gauge it is, is there any way to tell if it isn't marked?
3. I've heard 30AWG for most points, 24AWG for power/ground... can you use 24awg for everything? Is it just that 30awg is easier to install with?
4. Does anyone have a picture of an installed modbo on a v12 that has nice wire management?

1. Yes the narrower solder would help

2/3. The typical stuff people use is kynar wire or wrap wire for soldering onto the points in a ps2 this is really the only option as for the most part you have about 1mm clearance space for the wire. for the power and ground though you should use thicker wire I can't remember off the top of my head but I think it's 14 awg wire

4. Just do a search on yahoo images for ps2 mod install
