Eurogamer report You'd think that Nintendo might be a bit tired of everyone saying that the Revolution's "freestyle" controller looks like a telly remote. But no, they've decided to embrace it by offering members of Japan's Nintendo Club a very special treat.

You'd think that Nintendo might be a bit tired of everyone saying that the Revolution's "freestyle" controller looks like a telly remote. But no, they've decided to embrace it by offering members of Japan's Nintendo Club a very special treat.

Platinum members - i.e., those who have earned at least 400 points by buying around 10 GBA games or seven GameCube titles over the course of a year - will receive a universal television remote shaped just like, you guessed it, the Revolution's "freestyle" controller.

You can take a look at it on the Club Nintendo website, which also features a pic of the rather spanky calendar that will be sent out too. Poor old gold members will get the calendar only.
