Gears of War 2 is set to feature 'linked Achievements' connected to the first game, Epic Games has confirmed at the nerd-fest, Comic Con.
No idea what 'linked Achievements' are? Basically it means Gears 2 will check for unlocked Achievements in Gears 1, and then unlock new content in the sequel accordingly.
For example, Unlocking the 'Completed Act 1' achievement in Gears unlocks Anthony Carmine in Gears 2 multiplayer. Unlocking the 'A Dish Best Served Cold' achievement in Gears unlocks General RAAM in Gears 2 multiplayer. And unlocking the 'Time to Remember' achievement in Gears unlocks Minh Young Kim in Gears 2 multiplayer.
