Max Media Launcher incompatible with Max Media Dock?

Hey all,

I apologize for asking this, but I couldn't find the answer to this specific question anywhere on the web. I have a fat silver DS, which I got for Christmas in 2005. I think it's firmware #2, but I'm not sure. I bought the Max Media Dock (without the CF card) a year ago or so. I got a Lexar card, and everything was happy. That is, until, my mom threw it out on accident (not her fault, it was wrapped in a paper towel).

I bought the Max Media Launcher, but it doesn't recognize my Max Media Dock. It behaves the same whether or not the Dock is connected. The "Max Media Launcher" text fades and I am left with two white screens. I have tried everything I can think of. I have formatted as FAT, FAT32, put only the bootme.nds in, I've tried just having an mp3 (named "a.mp3") in, still nothing. The Max Media Launcher almost behaves as though it doesn't even see my Slot 2.

Please help..

P.S. - Would an Action Replay DS (the kind available from Best Buy) work as a NoPass device for the Max Media Dock?
