Sandisk vs. Sony (Pro Duo)

Hi at all,

first of all.....Sorry for my bad english.

I want to buy a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Which Stick is better, from Sony or Sandisk? I read that the 1GB Stick from Sandisk runs faster as the Stick from Sony. Is that right?

Also i want to know, if there is a lock in the Stick from Sony, that avoid to play Isos from the Stick.

It doesn't matter real much, it can make a small difference from person to person... buy the cheapest one, I heard San Disk was a bit faster with transferring from USB Mode.

Yes it's true, the scandisk sticks generally benchmark faster, and are usually cheaper.

And there are a lot of FAKE bootleg Sony memory sticks from China out there, be careful if you're buying on eBay !! I used one that had a write speed of only 250KB/s !!! (instead of the regular 2000KB/s I got from regular Sony)

i have used the sandisk gaming cards never had any probs so far with them, but heres a link which shows the 2 cards head to head hope this helps u.

Apart from trying them, I really don't know... Someone told me once that the barcode is a false one on the fake sticks, but I don't have a barcode reader so...
