Greg Howson of The Guardian has tried to evaluate just how successful the Xbox 360GB SKU will be. As part of the article he notes a few weak points including it makes the rest of the Xbox 360 SKUs look pretty poor in value and will have no impact on the technical Xbox 360 problems.

The Arcade 360 - the console with no hard drive, aimed at "casual" players - now seems pretty poor value at 160quid while the 120GB Elite seems a little overpriced at 259. And of course, changing the hard drive size has no impact on the technical problems which have plagued the console. Anyway, larger hard drive then - is it enough to tempt you to buy a 360?

I sold my refurbished Xenon 360 (the replacement Microsoft sent me) + some old games and I bought that new 60Gb 360.

So far, it runs great, is pretty quiet compared to my old unit that sounded like a jet engine. And having 60Gb of HDD is great. Not forced anymore to get rid of videos and demos to constantly make place for new content.

In the end, it cost me a lot less than buying that overpriced 120Gb HDD, and I get a more reliable console too (+HDMI), which is an awesome deal.
