hi guys, i recently ordered the d2pro9 v3 chip from modchipcentral.com presoldered onto the wiiclip. i am waiting for it to come, which it will in the next few days. my wii is a d2c. on this forum, there are people saying that if you have a d2c go for the v2, if you have d2e go for v3. but people, v3, supports all chips, even d2c. so if you have d2c, and cnanot get v2, go for v3, it still supports d2c, and added d2c2, and d2e. so it supports all. just wanted to let you all know. they just added d2e support on v3, did not remove d2c or d2c2.

Just got this infro from a site selling the D2PRO V3

If you are ordering this modchip: We are stocking the latest d2e compatible d2pro. The firmware is great - but in their effort to stack on 5 firmwares on 1 modchip they have partially broken d2c support (d2c2 is fine). If you have a d2c chipset, plese let us know so that we can provide the same modchip, with the 'unbroken' firmware for you.

So buy the looks of things the V3 needs to be supplied with unbroken firmware on request.
(Probs jsut send a V2 to ya)

d2pro9 v3 does not support d2c it does support dms / d2a / d2b /d2c2 and d2e
if you have a d2c you will need the v2 firmware

Cellexmods is working on a solution to get this fixed with wii*clip. My question is can I flash the D2E mod to a D2C firmware with programmer or will it brick the mod chip?

i don't see why not , if it was the other way round then there would be a problem

OK, so there has been a lot of questions about the D2Pro v3 chip and D2C chipset.
Last night I received an email from Modchipcentral (where I bought my v3 chip). They told me

"It does work with the D2C chipset. The first batch of V3 had a firmware bug that caused booting delays on the D2C chipset however we sent them back to get reprogrammed and received our new batch a few days later.

The V2 is not being made anymore."

This morning I got up bright and early, and took apart my Wii and installed the v3 chip. It seemed to have no problems, lights came on correctly. I put it back together and......
It worked. I successfully played my backup of Fifa '08.
I don't know if I got lucky, or if Modchipcentral is the only ones who have the fixed v3, but I just wanted to share this.

Again, thanks to didineedthis for all his help!

yes they have re-programmed the d2e for d2c wiis ,but you still get inching probs , you cant re-program yet as they haven't released the firmware to do it, if you have a d2c or d2c2 its better to flash the d2e chips with the 2.3 firmware though, this is your best option.
