what are most people using with the best results? +R or -R? Brands? Thanks for any input. I got some free memorex +r from work... 100 of them so i figured i would try them out with no problems so far.

I always use Verbatim -R, never had a problem with these on any drive I've tried.
I've tried Verb +R's and they work fine on a friends wii but I've had problems with them on other wii's.
I had a few memorex lying around when I first chipped my wii and although some games worked ok I had a lot of dre's with others.

I would stick with -r's
there easy to work with in my opinion,
you dont have to worry around with bitsetting your drive etc
(although saying that the d2pro can read +r's without bitsetting i think)
With media you get what you pay for in my opinion,
this may not be the case with movies and music etc.
But with consoles id say always stick with Verbatim.
Modded PS2 - Verbs all the time, laser still going strong to this day.
Modded 360 - Tried using cheap media before going onto verbs and the laser practically dead now, taking 3 or 4 tries to get it to read disks now. And the xbox is barely 2 years old.
So yeah im waffeling on, but stick to Verbatim DVD-R

No +r media wont damage the drive itself,
its just somechip dont support them unless =r media is bitset to ROM i think.
Obviously not the case for the chip you use, or your drive already bitsets to ROM.
In my opionion i just think its easier to use DVD-Rs, its all ive ever used,
(think ive only ever bought a 25 pack of +r's to be honest)

always, ALWAYS stick with verbatims. trust me. i've tried every brand in the the book, not only do verbatims work the best / fastest, but they have a very strong bottom coating. i have PS1 verbatim backups from 1996 that still play flawless today.
spend the extra money to get the quality. also if you burn dual layers i can't tell you how many horror stories ive gone thru with non-Verbatim brands...

Just to play devil's advocate here....I just couldn't get my SSBB to load fully on Verbatim DL disks. Tried the cheap Nexxtech brand I had laying around and all was well. Go figure.
