Please, don't tell me about how bad this is. I know, WAB stole from syndicate,
but I can't afford the chip right now + the equipment to make it work. So umm... I resorted to the ModCheap.
I open up CMD, use that to open my WABModCheap, but it tells me
"Could not open parrelel port driver".
I don't know how to make it open the parrelel port driver, or what it means.
And I think I have the right cables, a USB Male to Male cord that connects from the back of my Wii to my pc USB. Please, someone help...
Thanks,
~Preston556

I'm sorry, I only used info that I had awhile back. I might still have it ( comp wipe ) but I doubt it.
If you can kindly point me too a a page that has working instructions, it would greatly be appreciated.
thanks,

-- I don't what exactly a serial port is, I'll have to look it up, thanks man!--
hmm... I see the serial port. But do I have to use that on my Wii?
I mean, I've never seen it before. So I'd imagine it would have that wierd printer lookin end for my pc, then a regular usb head at the other end for my Wii =/
would this happen to be one? http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-TO-RS232-RS-232-9PIN-SERIAL-CONVERTER-CABLE-ADAPTER_W0QQitemZ260272888617QQcmdZViewItem?hash=i tem260272888617&_trkparms=72%3A1073%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318

yeah, depending on your console version you could cheap-out all the way (like I did) and use YAOSM as well.

Might I ask how to check my Wii's version? I apologize for my lack of knowledge, I am only really good at the Xbox mods, I don't know much about the Wii.
Thanks,
~Preston556

you have got a launch Wii with GC2-DMS DVD drive you can easily get a mod chip for under 10 bucks its going to cost more for the person to install it for you and as an installer myself these chips for the DMS drives are about a 5 minute job it takes me longer to take the console appart than it takes to put the chip in it.
OOOOH god i just properly read your initial post and you are terribly mistaken you cant use MODCHEAP from the Wiis USB ports you need to solder it on to the drive its self like where the modchips go. All the Wii chips do it patch the serial line fooling it into thinking its booting an original game and modcheap does this by in easy terms of putting it it uses the computer as the modchip its self by booting the message through the PC serial port and injecting it into the points you soldered on to the Wiis DVD drive.
hope that clears some things up

Thanks, but unfortuanetly, I know nothing of soldering.
Last time I tried * shudders *... well it didn't come out well at all. And the
person that lent me the tool is gone -I suck at this in short XD-
I don't know where t pick up the Xrewdriver ( I wore out about 3 knives
trying those),
but I suppose if its the only way, could you fill me in on some info? Like
what kind of soldering tool, what voltage, and what I need to solder.
Thanks,

I use a weller WD2000M with all surface mount specalised tools price is roughly 2000$ but a cheap one rated at 15-25 watts with a small tip should be fine as that's what I started off using for installs. I strongly recomend getting a reputable installer to carry out the instalation if you dont feel up to the task as for a novice will see the pads and just think they're too small and make a mess of every thing. I know LOL we all started out somewhere so if you are going to do a DIY practice alot first
