Capps says Low Gears of Wars PC scores are bullshit

Speaking to MundoRare, Mike Capps has revealed he thinks that the low scores for Gears of War for PC are just bullshit. He noted just because they took Gears of War 1 for the Xbox 360, made it run at a higher resolution and added three hours of great new gamplay it got lower review scores. This is what he finds puzzling...

i blame games for windows for the low scores. Nobody wants to buy Vista to witness the game at its full potential, although for me playing it at 1080p on my HDTV was satisfying but it would've been nicer with AA.

Gears of War works perfectly fine on XP

I thought the Xbox 360 version looked good but it looks amazing at 1680x1050 running at 60fps on the PC, there’s nowhere near 3 hours of new game play but the extras are nice.

My gears of war on PC looks better then the 360 version by far. The controls once you get used to them [if your a pc gamer] are better also. You have more variety in the control scheme

I loved playing it on the PC. But the reason why it got such low scores is because of all the glitches that it had. Many of which still haven't been patched by Epic or the company that made the port (Their name is People can fly or something...) I'd say that when your game crashes during a brumach boss fight, and you're just about to kill him, it really takes some of the enjoyment out of the game

I just plugged an xbox controller that I bought for 15€ to my PC, you get rumble, analogs and the rest of the **** just like it was the console :)

unreal engines are always very glitchy,
also terrible sound, always, even watching video clips like this one,
never really played an epic game that felt finished either.
finished gears on xp, crashed a lot and found it boring
felt kind of like playing an n64 :eek:
