A 25 year old professional gamer is celebrating his latest gaming win as he picked up a share of a $500,000 prize and the title of most valuable player. Personally he took home $57,500 and an extra $25,000 prize which was split with another player who scored the most points in the finals.
Professional gamer Dean Sutton, 25, of Winifred Road, Pitsea, won the world final of the Championship Gaming Series, in Los Angeles, together with his nine team mates from the Birmingham Salvo.
Dean scooped $57,500 in prize money from the big win and an extra £25,000 prize, that was split between him and partner David Kelly, who comes from Liverpool, for being the most valuable players – which means they scored the most points in the finals.
He said: “It’s pretty cool to have a few grand in the bank, and it’s another personal achievement.
