View Full Version : Gears of War 2 to feature on/off gore feature

Gears of War 2 is set to feature a gore on/off feature, essentially this will remove all violence from the game if need be and blood will become sparks and any swear words will transform into mild curse words.


But, as you know, the people at Epic Games are smart and they where kind enough to help all it’s Gears fans out with this issues. MCV revealed today that, the same non-violence feature that was in the first Gears, will be placed in Gears of War 2. This feature will basically removed all violence from the game that will appeal to a younger audience. Also adding to the fact that when this feature is activated blood will become sparks and all swear words will be turned into mild curse words. Gears of War 2 will be released for the Xbox 360 on November 7th and will ship with all it’s parental controls out of the box.

OMG , this is the most innovative thing ive heard already , **** i'm selling my ps3 ,wii , megadrive and segacd to get an 360 for this game , I cant wait to amaze my friends with the on/off gore button

The gore option was in the first one, I used it when I played in front of my kiddies. The swear filter is new though.

im all about new gears of war news but gore filter? common guys, might as well have made the news headline "gears of war 2 will have some similarities to gears of war 1"
