Yes it's true, Namco has quickly rolled out some DLC for Soul Calibur IV. The content available on Live and PSN includes the following: customization equipment at 100 MS points, downloable music complete set at 1200 MS points and downloadable music tracks at 80 MS points each.

no suprise here

this is what happens when people actually pay for it. in the end because of a handful of stupid fucks who want to waste money, everyone gets shafted with a bill to use the full game..

Thing is, what they're trying to sell is already on the disc.

Beautiful Katamari style.

That's the rip off.

DLC is a rip off wether its from namco or any other company. and namco really pushed it when they offered the dlc days after the release of the game which means they already had the content but chose to sell it for extra $$$ . and yes this is the result of stupid people actually paying 4 it.

i really miss the old PC days when this stuff usually came free with the patches....

I think it's because the game is $60+ already and they're offering DLC for a price. At least make some of it free before charging, Soul Calibur IV has just begun... they could always charge later. I guess business is business though.

I don't care about extra music but I guss I'll be getting the gear. The music download is too big to be just a key. Seems about right for that amount of compressed sound.

Also, it's a bit late to boycott anything if you consider the previous news post.

when its release a week after the game you know it was already ready and they chose to hold back and sell it instead of include it to the finished game. I would be surprised if its already on the retail disc and purchasing it only unlocks it.
