hi everyone,
I have a LU34234xxxx Wii and i´m planning to buy a modchip from a website that can do the solder work for an additional fee. If you guys have bad or good reference about volumerate.com or techsick.com, please let me know.
Did someone have tried the D2pro9 for D2E with WII-CLIP Version 4C (V4C) Combo? Do this modchip works for all wii models, specially for the old and new D2C wii models?

you start to worry me. Do you think the Solderless D2pro 5/9 wire Modchip with SPI ( All versions including D2C2 ) will work on D2C, D2C2 and D2E?

if its a D2PRO9 V3 D2E chip it will not work on a D2C drive . it will work on a D2C2 / D2E , only the d2pro9 v2 will work on the d2c.

the quickest way to figure out what kind of dvd drive you have is to use this link and compare your serial number. http://wiitracker.nintendo-scene.com/search.php

if its a new wii you wont know what you have for sure without opening up your wii,d2e drives are not logged yet.

he is trying to figure out if he has a d2c2 or newer to work with the d2e ready mod chip, that you can still find out from the search.

thanks! guys
I bought my wii on Jul 27, 2008 and the WiiTracker says that:
There is a 50% chance that your drive chip is a GC2-D2C
There is a 50% chance that the pins on your drive chip are not cut.
so it is pretty confusing which model is..

you have a d2c or a d2c2 chip set, the d2pro9 v2 , wasabi v2, aragon, will all work in your wii.
