Hi
After installing a D29Pro v2 with wii clip on a wii tonight I can no longer insert disc's into this wii, when I place a disc into the front of the tray I can feel the drive trying to suck in the disc, but it just will not. The only time I managed to get a disc into it (with a fair push) it tried to read the disc and then just came with a error message just saying to eject the disc and turn off the machine, needless to say the disc would not eject and the system would not turn off. I then had to take the dvd-rom drive apart to take the disc out. The disc is an original not a backup.
I believe the problem is this....
When installing the chip this brown clip (clip.jpg) snaped off with just the lightest of a touch (could not believe it) so as a result I have had to tape the brown clip down with some electrical tape to hold this cable in place (clip2). The cable is making a clean contact from what I can see, even after turning the drive back over to place it back in the case and there is no tape on the cable or board, just on the clip. All of the menus work fine, the drive does not blink blue constantly upon boot up or anything like that, I just cant insert or play any disc's.
Is this my problem ?
Does anyone have any solutions ?
Or is this wii well and truly Fu*ked ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you
