Hi guys! I tried using the ALT points on a D2C, but gave up. Tried Argon on Wii-clip, had probs with that too. Not too great at soldering I guess.

Anyways, removed the chip, and Wii operates fine. Well, except that when I insert an original game, the disc stays in for about 2 seconds (does not spin), then ejects (almost all the way out)]. It then reinserts the game, then fully ejects.

I guess it's possible I still have some bridging on an IC leg, but none that I can see. All of the cables appear fine as well. Any ideas?

Thanks guys!

you definetly have solder snots still bridging the ic legs , have a closer look under magnification.

i agree, it definitely sounds like you are bridging somewhere. I like to use a jewelers loupe magnifier to look closely at the install area.

Alternatively you may have a cog or 2 snapped off the gears in the dvd drive.

I had exactly the same problem and used this to fix it

It may be worth checking out just incase...
