This will be the second time ive managed to rebuild legs that have been removed by nintendo. This is a teadious and extreamly delicate job.The legs have been removed with a grinding tool which makes it extreamly difficult to attach wire to.However, if you look close enough you will notice a slight"shelf" the chip has that prevents all material from being removed, hence it can be repaired.

This is expert level soldering at it's finest i took a picture of a bic pen to show scale, step by step of how i rebuild legs on an smc.

Start to finish pics, not quite finished still need to chop the excess off but you get the idea!!

Just waiting for the chip now! Came out cleaner then my first one(mine).

I chose wiikey for the simple fact, i have not had a single complaint or issue with it, they just work.

Thanks man. After a bit of research i see the wasabi chip is also able to perform without using the cut pins on the D2B. also d2pro V2 chip... still verifing this.Really not a pile of information out there that i could find.

Whats the deal with wasabi, I havent heard much about this chip except from it's supporters saying how great it is. Is this chip as realiable as wiikey specifically on the D2b chipset????

Yes, the wasabi does not require you to rebuild the pins, it uses different points. Other chips may do this too, I'm not sure, but I know the wasabi does.

the wasabi v1 -v2 ,d2pro9 v1, v2, Aragon wasabus 1.5 all support d2b cut pins ,no re-building is required as they use different solder points , re-building is only required for the wiikey, yaosm.
