There are two versions available, first up is the download only version which costs $19.95 - this version includes a PDF user manual but no cables and connections. The packaged version comes in at $24.95, includes a connection cable and lots of other little softwarwe goodies. The only drawback is that it won't be available until November 22nd 2005.

More importantly, will it force an update? I assume it will since it lists AVC as the supported video playback format.

Under requirements it states that 2.0 is needed for AVC...

So if you can move your movies onto it, how are they going to get around the copy protection in DVDs? Goddam Digital Millineum Copyright Act screws us from making backups of our movies, but it's perfectly okay for Sony to make some bucks with a product like this? I'll sue Sony myself for violating the DMCA if it's true. But I really doubt you'll be able to get DVD movies on your PSP, probably just UMDs or something.


EDIT... yeah it only converts standard format PC files to PSP MP4 format. Big friggin whoop. I guess when they say "movies" they mean your home movies or the ones you pirated off of bittorrent :p

or rip your own from dvd to one big vob than use this software
