There is a rumour spreading around the net that a group known as Team DST are working on a new PSP chip. This supposed chip is said to be solderless and will play any region UMD movie as well as allowing the running of homebrew software on PSP regardless of the firmware revision installed.

This is nothing but a rumour, the picture of the chip is very blurry which gives absolutely nothing away. The details are very scarce, the whole solderless concept is very much doubtable for a first generation mod, and lastly a PSP chip selling for $22.99 is iffy as well as the method of distibution on Ebay. Last time I checked, chips were against Ebay's policty regardless of possible uses.
We think it's a fake for sure, let us know what you think on the forums!
