A couple of months ago, Motus Games uploaded a few videos of their Wii Remote-like accessory for Xbox 360 up at Youtube. It is not known if this is an official peripheral, if it is exclusive to Xbox 360 or perhaps MS has some interest in the company directly. Time will tell...

there is quite some lag in the response indeed. Too much for my liking

It is so obvious MS is denying this as well as they can because they want to announce it at E3. They still shouldn't lie about it though. Its almost like they're trying to lose the last of their credibility. Or maybe they don't care because Sony does it too.

This was tested with a PC (see the notebook on the left). On the website is written that the product will not be on sale yet and it is just beeing tested by developers... it is not only for 360 also for PC and PS3 as well.

I'm curious how they program it to each game. That thing must have a hella internal memory. That being said this is gonna cost a lot.
To the guys complaining about the lag. This isn't out yet and this video is 3 months old. Who knows it might get perfect

looks like a bunch more lag than even the wii remote... which has enough to begin with.

Plus the fact that this thing is being intoduced so late in the game, by a third party company... Makes it less appealing... Something liek this should be developed closely with the hardware it is intended for.. Its the only way to get optimal performance out it..

Nintendo has done its homework with the wii.. and even then it has its flaws.. This thing was supp. developed 7 years ago and put on a shelf... Now resurected becuase "the world wasnt ready for it then" Whatever..

I would actually respect the thing more if they werent comparing themselves directly to the wii... I mean no need to do wii vs darwin.. before every video.

it makes it look like they are trying to use the Wii name purely to gain recognition, instead of relying on their supp. superior technology.

No thanks, I'll stick to using the gamepad. If i want realism with a sword I'll play with my Katana.

I like it. Im impressed with the mapping ability. That would offer compat with older games, hopefully its easy to set up. I mainly want it for sports in HD. I loved TW 08 on the wii.

actually there is some lag time between the wii remote recognizing motions and translating it to in game events. It is minimal and never really bothered me, but it does exsist.

This controller on the other hand looks to have a slightly longer lag time

how does this play fps's?

if it is a direct copy of the wiimote / nunchuk then it plays them superbly, better even than a mouse / keyboard on the pc in many ways, sadly this doesnt seem to have a nunchuk part so probably quite badly.

it also seems there is no pointing device... So FPS prob would have to be done differntly with this controller.

If you've ever played an FPS on the Wii, you would instantly know that the mouse and keyboard combo is better because of one flaw: you can't hold a wiimote (or anything like it, even a real gun) perfectly steady like you can with a mouse. A Wiimote-like controller would be much more realistic than a mouse and keyboard, but head to head, the mouse and keyboard would porbably win every time.

Why do you need to keep the controller steady all the time? just move the cursur to where it's needed; I play house of the dead on the wii and it's lightnig fast and accurate. If that kind of targetting would be the standard in all FPS games on the wii, I think the mouse-keyboard combo would be seriously challenged, although I can't stand mice, has to be a trackball:)

Been a pc gamer for years
Even though the wii is fun we spank the living sh1t out of you Nintendo owners
Would be fun to prove you wrong (and we would) but unfortunately we can't. Start playing some good pc games and you'll change your mind;)

Ha! I have 2 systems, one is a Wii and the other is a PC, (none of this "I can't maintain a PC so I got a 'next-gen' console" nonsense over here;)), and I use the wiimote with the PC for development. What we need is something like a homebrew Quake 3 with full wiimote and online support for Wii and some PC/Wii tournament to decide:cool:

Umm didnt EA state something about creating peripherals for their sports games a few weeks ago? This might have nothing to do with MS at all.
