I have the same question as madgigahz. I've done hex editing before but I can't seem to get this to work. What tools am I supposed to be using to extract/rebuild the ISO? If anyone has a step-by-step guide, that would be great.

to hex edit and to rip are completely different things. if u go and start deleting stuff from a built image your going to end up with a worthless file. u have to learn to rip iso and rebuild with the appropriate software like umdgen yauis or even vcdromx. leave hex editing alone unless ur modifying a file

I know exactly what hex editing and ripping are; that wasn't my question. I'm referring to kenobi's post here (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showpost.php?p=76273&postcount=5). I've extracted data_info.bin using UMDGen, hex edited it with the new LBA value of data.bin in my resized ISO, replaced the original data_info.bin with the updated one in UMDGen, and created a new ISO with UMDGen. However, the resulting ISO still won't start up.

Are you sure about that? According to this post here (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showpost.php?p=89682&postcount=3), you can remove the update folder as long as you update to the appropriate LBA value.
