Microsoft has responded on recent reports by UK media of excessive RRoD occurrence on Xbox 360 Elite's and said the following - "Recent reports in the UK media regarding Xbox 360 contain inaccuracies and pure speculation, as well as news that is a year old."

"Recent reports in the UK media regarding Xbox 360 contain inaccuracies and pure speculation, as well as news that is a year old.

"Prompted by what Microsoft viewed as an unacceptable number of repairs to Xbox 360 consoles, a year ago Microsoft announced an expansion of its Xbox 360 warranty. Effective 5 July, 2007, any original retail Xbox 360 customer who experiences a general hardware failure indicated by three flashing red lights is covered by a three year warranty from date of purchase, with all other issues remaining covered by the standard one-year warranty."

If Microsoft's saying they're wrong, why don't they release the actual figure?

I bet RRoD was just made up by 360 haters. The 360 is just as reliable as any other console because I believe microsoft, they would never lie to me. And I am sure that the four consoles that broke on me, is just some amazing fluke like 1 in 1 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000.

I am tempted to wait for the new 360 with the die shrink. After so many failed consoles I am scared to buy again. I understand the fan boys will be like, you are crazy it's perfect. Hmmm what to do.

2 of my friends have moved from 360 to PS3... well one is still saving $$$

This is funny, I got a text from a friend that just got his PS3 and has been playing MGS all day that says "Hey how hot does your ps3 get on the side by the disc drive?" "I felt the one at movie gallery and it was playing all day and it wasn't hot at all but mines been playing for a few hours and it's kinda hot on the side so what's up with that?" Reply... "LOL it is a ps3 you don't have to worry about overheating any more" Friends Reply... "I've had an xbox for 3 years i'm not used to that. lol"
