Doesn't work. I've tried iso dumps obtained with UMDdumper 2 (or 0.2, can't remember) at almost every combination of bootbin, iso emulation mode, and region code settings.
Too bad. Otherwise it would be possible to take the smaller (<1GB) dumps of UMDs such as Ren&Stimpy and Dave Chapelle and watch them on the road. Wanted to fit two of the suckers on my Datel drive and play them, but no go.
Let us know if you find a way!

I got it to work doing this mate.
Have a umd flim in the umd drive
Put your flim iso into the iso folder on your psp
boot up umd emu 8c
choose video boot on both booting options
press x on your iso
you are then taken back to psp main main screen
highlight your umd in the menu
should now be the iso flim u wanted to load.
My umd in the umd drive was spiderman 2 uk umd btw.
There may b an easier way of doing it but this is how i got it to work on my jap 1.5 psp hope this helps.

Both options are set to video.
I have region code set to region free.
UMD in the drive is Spiderman 2 (US).
What emulation mode should i be in?
When i am in copy load or direct load, it freezes!
When i am in system load or off, it goes to PSP main screen, gives some message about incorrect region code and the icon for the UMD has disappeared.

You should b in system mode back hence take u back to psp main screen.
Does your spiderman 2 umd actually play in your psp ? If it does then ypur psp is a region 1 player now so region 2 movies should'nt work and then u should get the error like u have done. try a region 1 movie iso and not region 2 iso flim should work then if my guess is right.
My psp is jap which is region 2 same as the iso flim i used to check.
Which version is your psp US,JAP or UK ?
sounds like your mis matching your regions and thats why it won't play, plzs remember that movies r region locked unlke games as far as i know.
so heres a recap of settings i used below
ISO emulation mode = system menu
Disctype = video
disctype umd = video
updater icon = removed
use boot .bin = on
regioncode overide = on
regioncode game = regionfree
regioncode video = regionfree
regioncode audio = regionfree
flash0 emu = off
flash1 emu = on (mainly for the text fix on ghost in the shell this setting)
Hope this helps mate.

Does the region coding just matter for the umd you use to load isos, or for the isos themselves ie can I load a region 1 umd iso on my region 2 psp using a region 2 legit umd?
