View Full Version : Xbox 360 ranks reset afte GRID update

According to angry gamers, the Xbox 360 ranks on GRID (the game from Codemasters) have been reset after the latest patch/update. Obviously resetting the leaderboards is acceptable, but resetting the overall ranks is quite frustrating considering how much time it takes to get all the way up there.

I just got Elite a day or two ago; 700+ OXP to go to get to Legend. And now....

I'm not one to go into full-on 'flame-mode', but this is UN-F!@#$%^-believable!!!!

Resetting the leaderboards was a no-brainer; the players that are capable of consistently posting legitimately great times will be able to do so again. But resetting the Ranks?!?!?!?! Yes, some players have probably gotten Elite and/or Legend with the help of the brown screen glitch and other glitches, but some people, like myself, worked REALLY Hard to get the Rank we HAD.

And its not like an 'illegitimately Achieved' Rank of Elite and/or Legend is unfair to other players, like the laptimes issue. Rank doesn't necessarily equate with skill; you could finish dead-last in every race you run and still get Elite/ Legend, eventually.

I can take some Small solace in the fact that I just barely squeezed out Elite before 'Zero-Day'. Players who were on the verge of getting Elite/ Legend REALLY got screwed!

Another reason I'm glad I didn't get this. At least Codemasters isn't biased. They screwed over both 360 and PS3 owners :P

I thought that the brown screen glitch was a 360 bug, is that not why they reset it, I could be wrong. is that bug in the PS3 version aswell?

All I have to say is that this is a really well made game from graphics to the industry leading presentation in GRID. I had alot more fun with this game than Forza Motorsport and GT5 prologue and that's saying alot. If they did this, they must've had good reason too.

Well when it comes to some games there are glitches that people will exploit just to get a win and this game had a few of those glitches Im glad they did this makes the game a even playing field again...

Don't know, never got the game. Got Burnout instead. Great decision :D I'm assuming that the PS3 didn't get the ranks as this article was reported for the 360 and everyone in the forums was talking of the 360. By the screwing us over, I was referring to them not giving the PS3 version trophies. That probably would have put me over the fence to get this game as it's been getting good reviews.
