Wii no longer spinning up discs

Well, my wii has performed pretty much rock solid since I've had it (since launch), even after I got it modded (over a year ago). I haven't even had media problems but that's not my issue here, because regardless of what game I put in (original OR backup) my Wii just won't spin up the disc.

I've never had this problem (or any problems really) before today. Funny thing is, it worked just fine for me twice just earlier today. I was online with it not long ago and I turned it off when I was done. Then when I got back to the computer, someone on IRC wanted to play with me, so I turned it back on and the disc won't spin. You can even hear the lens moving like it's trying to read. It's been doing this for a couple hours now and at this point I don't think it's going to fix itself.

Any suggestions?

be more specific modchip, media, upgrades, version (pal or ntsc) maybe you get the answer you looking for.

Bleh. It fixed itself. I don't know what the problem was but it's not happening anymore. Thanks for replying! :)

mine had the same problem but its not modded and it never fixed itself.

could be a blown fuse or something simple , is it still under warranty ? if so sent it back to Nintendo for repair, if not get some one to have a look at it for you.
