Being Canadian this directly voilates my rights.

Some as you see in the post will say "It's not the end of the world" or remarks as such.

To all those who just sit back and stay reactive and not proactive. You better end up being happy with the consequences that happen. This may seem little in perspective but each little right being taken away is a violation of our freedom. One day in the future when a few more of these bills pass you will realize it but then it will be too late.

We have to be proactive and act on this. We can be complaining about this later or be happy that we protected our rights. I just can't accept that our Canadian leaders are so easily pursuaded by corporate America. Let's not let this happen. Show them we can't just be pushed around!!

This is not just about this issue. It's about life. It's the proactive ones that get what they want. If we are not looking out for ourselves no one else will. Let's get going!

It is silly and liberal legislation like this that passes while the vast majority of the public is unaware of it until it is made law. This is the exact same reason that gay marriage is accepted in Massachusetts and California, because the larger populous was not accurately represented. Affirmative Action, the Patriot Act, etc. all because no one spoke against the legislation.
What I am trying to say is that if this becomes law in Canada, we WILL see it come to the US as well. Our freely using our game systems for our own purposes of backups and homebrew applications is at risk.

so what you're saying is that gay marriage should be illegal and modchips legal? lol

some of the comments are quite quirky and clever, but for the most part it's sorta scary. canada seems to be taking hints from america, who somehow lets third party people make rules, and thus sometime in the future if canada lets this bill go through to be law, then you can expect even harsher rulings in america. it's like they say, it takes one apple to spoil the bunch.

i'd hate to start having to buy things from WAAAAY over seas now to get anything, because that's just shady and costly and too time consuming. i hate waiting the 9 days to get anything priority from canada can you imagine waiting 48 days to get that top of the line part? by the time you get it, it's flippin outdated. GAH. okay anyway act on this you canadians. your country is going to make mine even worse than it already is. when i have the money you can believe that i'm moving away. far far away.
