D2PRO utility disc ???

First of all, when I try to run the D2PRO utility disc (V1.1 or V1.3), it says "Sorry, no d2pro chip found!". I have a D2PRO9 that was supposed to have firmware 1.1b. What am I doing wrong?

Second, what does the utility disc do? Are there user settings that can be configured?

sounds like you dont have the 1.1b firmware installed , just the 1.1,

because you can only use the utility disc with the 1.1b firmware installed.
that's why it saying there is no chip installed , as it cant read from it.

I was hoping that wasn't the case because I didn't really wanna spend the extra money to get a d2prog. Oh well...I just ordered one...thanks for the info.

Did you install the windows driver from the D2pro site? It is in the resources section.

the d2programmer wont even start without the driver.
