You spent $95 on a mod chip? You were ripped off to begin with.

you need the new d2pro9 wire for the new d2c2 drives , its the only chip that will work on your drive at the moment.

If it's an Argon.. (hopefully the SPI version), get a programmer and wait for the 4th of june (new firmware should be coming for D2C2 then).

If it's a D2Pro9.. get a programmer and wait... if you're in luck the moneywolves will decide to release a new firmware...

Not all LU56s are d2c-2s.

There have been report of LU56s working with non d2c-2 chips.
Presently, Nintendo has got their stocks a little mixed up or "overlapping".

However, it's safe to assume to those below LU56 will be the normal d2c.

And it's also safe to assume all future wiis will be d2c-2 eventually.

There hasn't been any "sure way" of telling if you're got an d2c-2. Only way is to mod the set and see it works or not :p

Latest info is, d2c-2 drives have some label/barcode.
See attached pic.

So, you can go ahead and try to mod with your d2c chip.
Might work, might not

It should at least say it's D2C2 compatible.
Something like this:

If you looking for d2c2 d2pro then i'll have them on the 5-06-08, also presoldered with wiiclip if you prefer..
Far cheaper than your current supplier.
All the best,
Allan.:)

If you've already ordered it and it's on the way to you just give it a try first. It's a hit or miss. It may or may not be a d2c2.
