Can anyone confirm that the file here: \PSP_GAME\USRDIR\z\assetsfb.wad is a pad file...?

It is 311,296kb in size, my guess it is a pad file.

delete it and see what happens. I tried to rip just the update and rebuild the game. It played fine expect there were no sound effects, the untouched ISO works fine though. When I get some time I will see what happens when I try just to rebuild it, w/o ripping anything.

Its needed by the game.
You can look inside it with winrar.

the 700MB+ is in the sounds folder. Thats where is all at. WAD files are important.
